Exhibition of 70 student-made tech products
The Science Research Conference and Technology Exhibition (BKDN Techshow) in the 2024-2025 academic year took place at the Da Nang-based Tran Phu Senior High School on April 12 and 13.

Co-hosted by the University of Science and Technology (DUT) - the University of Da Nang, the municipal Department of Education and Training, and the Tran Phu Senior High School, the event aimed to review scientific research activities among DUT students, as well as provide senior high school pupils citywide with science and technology-related knowledge and creative thinking skills.
On display at the two-day event were more than 70 tech products and nearly 50 posters created by DUT students and senior high school pupils citywide.

Within the framework of the festival, there was a science and technology conference for students and pupils.
In the 2024-2025 school year, there were 366 scientific research projects with the participation of more than 1,000 students from 14 faculties. The 3 best projects in terms of science and application were selected by the University of Science and Technology to present at the conference’s plenary session. These were MedCapNet - New solution for detecting and analysing tumors in detail; Synthesis of Co/F-EG catalyst for hydrogen production from sodium boron hydride hydrolysis reaction; and Research on cement-based coating using Hydrophilic Fumed Silica and Pholyvinyl Alcohol for concrete floors simulating decorative Microcement mortar.

In addition to the students’ projects, there were 19 projects developed by senior high school pupils from Tran Phu Senior High School, Thai Phien Senior High School, Thanh Khe Senior High School, and Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted in Da Nang, and Huynh Thuc Khang Senior High School and Luong The Vinh Senior High School both in Quang Nam Province.
The pupil-developed projects focused on promoting the technology application to improve production efficiency and life such as smart agricultural management and automation system for growing clean vegetables in greenhouses using AI and IoT; research and development of water filtration system by using solar energy and filter cores from loofah fiber (Luffa cylindrica); borax test kit from turmeric; research on antioxidant activity of Kombucha fermented tea drink; and fabric colour classification system.
