As of 3.30 pm on 6 June, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world has jumped to 6,861,716.

Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on June 6 morning announced one more imported Covid-19 case, bringing the country's overall tally to 329. In total, 189 of those confirmed cases were overseas arrivals, and they were quarantined on arrival. There have been no signs of community transmission for 51 straight days since April 16. Overall, 307 patients have recovered from the illness, and there have been no coronavirus deaths in Viet Nam till date.

Thus far six people have been diagnosed with the disease in Da Nang, and all of them have been cleared of the virus.
