The Humanitarian Month in 2023 is from May 1st to May 31^st, with its peak from May 8 (World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) to May 19 (the birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, the founder and first honorary president of the Viet Nam Red Cross Society).

The theme of Humanitarian Month in 2023 is "From each of our hearts - Working together to build a compassionate community". Since its implementation in 2018, Humanitarian Month by the Viet Nam Red Cross has significantly contributed to raising awareness among Party committees, governments, organizations, and individuals about humanitarian work. It has fostered a widespread sense of empathy and compassion within the community, creating prominent highlights and notable results compared to regular humanitarian activities.
