Under Decision 2345/QD-NHNN on implementing safety and security solutions in online and bank card payments by the State Bank of Viet Nam, starting from July 1, 2024, biometric authentication such as fingerprint or facial recognition will be mandatory for online money transfers and e-wallet top-ups exceeding VND10 million.
