At its 22^nd session (special session) held on February 20, the Da Nang People's Council passed a resolution to establish 5 new departments under the municipal People's Committee after merging and streamlining 10 departments. The freshly-established departments will officially operate from March 1, 2025. After the apparatus restructuring, the People's Committee will have 14 affiliated agencies, down by 5.
