The lotus has been popular in Vietnamese culture and the daily lives of residents for a very long time.

The flower symbolises purity and an optimistic attitude to the future, and in 2011 it was selected to be the official Vietnamese national flower.  The lotus always brings an endless source of inspiration to photographers nationwide.

Danang Today would like to share with our readers some photos showcasing the simple yet charming beauty of the lotus.  The photos were taken by Nguyen Thi Le Hang who works for the city’s maritime transport sector and is a member of the Han River Artistic Photography Club.
