An Thai dried rice vermicelli village
Located in Binh Dinh Province's Nhon Phuc Commune, the An Thai dried rice vermicelli village is now home to over 100 families involved in making this product.
In addition to the Song Than Mung Bean Rice Vermicelli, the unique speciality only produced in this village, many different kinds of dried rice vermicelli are made here. They include ‘Bun So 8’ (8-shaped rice vermicelli), ‘Bun Gao Vat Tron’ (rice vermicelli rings), ‘Arrowroot Rice Vermicelli’, and ‘Banh Pho’ (rice noodles).
The village’s products are mainly consumed in localities along the central coast, the highland provinces, and in Ho Chi Minh City.
Here are some photos which show the villagers hard at work. The photos were taken by Huy Dang, a freelance photographer for Danang Today.
