A replica of the Da Nang-Viet Nam team's racing yacht is now on display at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge and it will remain there until 29 February 2016.  Its purpose is to advertise the participation of the Da Nang-Viet Nam team in the 2015 - 2016 Clipper Round the World Race, which is taking place between August 2015 and July 2016.

The Clipper Race fleet is expected to arrive in Da Nang on 17 February 2016 and to stay here until 27 February 2016.

This will be the first time in the 19-year history of the biennial race that a team called Da Nang-Viet Nam has participated. The team is being skippered by 50-year-old Wendy Tuck from Sydney, Australia, who has over 10 years of experience as a rowing coach and privilege captain of the Royal Yacht Association.  She has previously competed in 8 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Races.

Throughout the race, Da Nang will connect with investors, tourism representatives and travel agencies at events in 16 stopover destinations on 5 different continents to promote the city’s tourism and to appeal for FDI inflows into the locality.

Danang Today would like to share with our readers some photos of the replica of the Da Nang-Viet Nam team's racing yacht.
