Senso-ji Temple, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple, is situated in Asakusa District in Japan’s Tokyo City. It was founded in 645, making it Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple and one of its most significant.
The main hall of the temple houses a statue of the Kannon bodhisattva which was found in the river by 2 brothers, Hinokuma Hamanari and Hinokuma Takenari, whilst they were fishing there in 628.
Here are some photos of the site which were taken by reporter Dang Van No during his recent visit.
