Exciting street parade of live music and dancing
On Sunday evening, an impressive street parade of live music and dancing took place along Da Nang’s Vo Nguyen Giap street stretching from the East Sea Park to Ha Chuong street.
The event involved 180 dancers from the municipal Cultural Centre, the local Junior College of Culture and Arts, schools, dance clubs and other relevant agencies.
The street dancers, in traditional costumes of Viet Nam, paraded along the street. Their parades also introduced traditional costumes of some participating countries at the 5th Asian Beach Games (ABG5), including Laos, Cambodia, China, Malaysia and Bhutan.
Most notably, many different genres of music were covered, including valse, tango, rumba, disco and cha-cha.
Mr Vinay Kumar Joshi from the Indian sports delegation at ABG5 said “Local residents are very friendly and hospitable. I also am very impressed with the city’s beautiful beaches, especially this attractive street parade of live music and dancing”.
