Viet Nam boasts numerous traditional folk games which have been handed down from generation to generation.  When Vietnamese people think back to their childhoods, the first thing they will probably recall is the traditional folk games.

However, nowadays, many of these folk games are facing the threat of falling into oblivion since the majority of young children prefer to play electronic games on mobile devices and desktops.

Here are some photos, taken by photographer Hoang Bich Nhung from Ho Chi Minh City, which introduce some popular traditional folk games of the past.  The photos show her strong desire for reminding young Vietnamese children not to forget the folk games because they play a significant role in improving their physical health and in preserving the country's rich and fascinating culture.
