Over recent days, Da Nang has experienced a fierce heatwave with temperatures between 38 and 39°C, turning the lives of locals upside down. 

During these extremely hot days, air conditioned coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets and book shops were crowded with locals.  Meanwhile, some people were seen sitting in the shade of trees or taking a rest under the local bridges.  In the afternoons, the local beaches were crowded with swimmers.
