On the 3rd night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018 on Saturday, the fireworks performance by team Italy was followed by Vulcan (Team Hong Kong). They thrilled the spectators with their delicate and meaningful display deeply inspired by globally renowned movies.

In a bid to convey a message that movies stimulates feelings of love and  happiness in viewers, the pyrotechnic performance by the Hong Kong contestants looked like “an intriguing movie screening under the stars”.

Accordingly, the audience were invited to join in a dramatic and romantic cinematic journey based on the soundtrack of the popular films over the past 2 decades.

Especially, the Hong Kong team used a Vietnamese song for their show in order to highlight the Vietnamese identity, and stir up the deepest feelings amongst the audience.

A total of 5,000 low-altitude and 2,000 high-altitude fireworks tubes were used, all of which were manufactured by Vulcan itself for their display.

Addressing prior to her team’s performance, Ms Cindy Ying Sau Vermeulen, the team leader, said her team would thrill the pyro-lovers with a spectacular show whose preparatory tasks, including fireworks manufacturing, the development of outlines and choreography, all of which had been implemented by the Hong Kong technicians by themselves.
