Nestled on the east side of Da Nang, the Son Tra Peninsula is now home to a wide range of rare birds, and other animal species including red-shanked douc langurs.
Also, the peninsula is a stopover site for numerous species of birds from such distant foreign countries as Siberia, Mongolia, Japan, North Korea and China before flying to warmer climates.
Among beautiful migratory birds coming to the peninsula are Siberian sparrows, Japanese and Chinese thrushes, Japanese paradise flycatchers, Malaysian eagles and seahawks.
In addition, visitors to the peninsula will find it very easy to see such endemic birds as kingfishers, sunbirds, pheasants, water chickens, nightingales and blackbirds.
Look at colourful birds in the Son Tra Peninsula in stunning photos taken by our freelance photographer Ho Trung Tu, telling how beautiful they truly are.
