Stunning images of Ha Long City from above
Ha Long City is the cultural, economic and political centre of Quang Ninh Province.
The city is endowed with Ha Long Bay which has over 1,600 limestone karsts and islets. Most of them are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence.
Ha Long Bay has twice been recognised by UNESCO as a world natural heritage in 1994 and 2000, and a new natural wonder of the world in 2011. The site remains Viet Nam’s most popular destination for domestic and foreign visitors.
Over recent years, Ha Long City has seen a rapid growth in many aspects, especially tourism thanks to outstanding natural and cultural values of the Ha Long Bay.
DA NANG Today would like to share with our readers some photos of the city from above, taken by local photographer Huynh Van Truyen.
