Over recent days, cracks of lightning have thundered across Da Nang in the afternoons, lighting up the sky above the city, then bringing strong gusts and heavy rain to the locality.

The thunderstorms have come as very welcome relief after recent sweltering hot summer days. Local residents have been treated to spectacular thunder and lightning shows.
