A shore-operated stationary lift net is one of the basic fishing tools of fishermen.

The lift nets, which can be relatively large, are usually operated from boats or from the bank of a river by installing them on a special platform. They consist of a horizontal netting panel framed by wood or metal bars or a bag shaped like a parallelepiped, pyramid or cone with the opening facing upwards.

DA NANG Today would like to show our readers some amazing images of this type of fishing tools on the city’s Cu De River. These photos are captured by our freelance photographer Hai Dang.

The Thuy Tu fishing village in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Hiep Bac Ward is in the downstream area of the Cu De River. At this village, tens of the nets are lifted out of the water in the daytime and dropped in the water in the night time every day.
