Nestled in rural Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Khuong Village, Da Nang, the Dong Xanh-Dong Nghe Lake is a reservoir which supplies water for the daily lives and agricultural production of local residents.

An overview of the Dong Xanh-Dong Nghe Lake from above. According to the locals, Dong Xanh and Dong Nghe are separated by a horizontal slot. Dong Nghe is from the slot and below, whilst Dong Xanh is from the slot and above.

Initially, the Co Tu ethnic minority people resided near the Dong Xanh - Dong Nghe Lake. They lived in 3 small villages namely ‘Lang’, ‘Dun’ and ‘Diet Gian’. In 1998, when a dam was built at the Lake, the Co Tu people moved to the Phu Tuc Village in Hoa Phu Village, Hoa Vang District.

Visitors to the Dong Xanh - Dong Nghe Lake will be impressed by a large dam which is 645m in length, 6m in width, and 25m in height.

The Lake likes a giant mirror and it is clear and green around the year.

The Lake is a perfect place for those who want to experience the pleasures of fishing.
