In recent years, the villages of Ta Lang and Gian Bi in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Bac Commune in Da Nang have been emerging as very inviting destinations for both domestic and foreign visitors.
The two villages boast their pristine beauty with cool streams, espcially the Vung Bot and Khe Duong streams, plus fresh air.
Our reporters Xuan Son and Mai Hien captured the two villages at their most picturesque.

A panoramic view of the Vung Bot Stream which is located in the centre area of the Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages. |
According to local residents, this stream is the meeting point of the North and South rivers originating from the majestic Truong Son mountain range. |
Visitors to this inviting site can participate in such exciting outdoor activities as going fishing, catching shrimps, bathing in stream, and overnight camping. |
The bridge connecting the Ta Lang with Gian Bi villages near the Vung Bot Stream. It is parallel to 2 damaged bridge piers of the ‘Sup’ (Collapsed) Bridge. |
According to the Hoa Vang District Culture and Information Office, the damaged bridge piers are the ruins of a bridge built by the French colonialists during the Vietnamese war to transport forest products and gold. However, the bridge was then collasped by bombs |
Situated in the Ta Lang Village, the Khe Duong Stream is about 3km from the Vung Bot Stream. |
At the Khe Duong Stream, there is a 5m-deep natural lake. |
Unlike the Vung Bot Stream, the Khe Duong Stream is not suitable for overnight camping. The best time for tourists to visit this place is from 10.00am to 4.00pm. |
However, visitors can take photos, immerse themselves in cool stream, and enjoy ‘com lam’ (rice cooked in bamboo tubes) while they are in this wonderful place. |
Tour guides will design different tours to the Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages depending on time required by visitors. Tour bookers are asked to prepare such neccesary items as insect repellent, hats and gloves in order to be able to experience their best moments during their trip to these places. |
