The hot weather has been intense in mid-central regional localities, including Da Nang, causing residents to feel unpleasant throughout the entire day, and even at night, with temperatures remaining as high as 37 - 39 degree Celsius.
The unpleasant weather conditions were caused by the influence of the developing southern low pressure trough associated with a strong foehn wind in the southwest region, soaring heatwave conditions, said the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.
Let's take a look at some photos captured by our reporters on May 31 to see residents sweat profusely under the stifling heat and struggle to relieve its undesirable effects.
