Over recent days, despite the scorching sun, police and self-defence forces exerted their utmost efforts to assist locals in harvesting rice in Hoa Phuoc Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang.

Amid the practice of in-force ‘stay-at-home’ mandate, the authorities of Hoa Phuoc Commune, Hoa Vang District has actively developed plans to support farmers to harvest rice in a timely manner.

According to Ngo Thi Bich Van, Vice Chairman of Hoa Phuoc Commune People's Committee, the whole commune has 126.5 hectares of rice-growing area with only about 50% of rice being harvested so far. The commune has launched the harvesting of rice in order to conduct the "dual goal" of ensuring agricultural production while strictly observing pandemic prevention and control regulations.

Their practical contributions have left a beautiful impression on locals, thus contributed to enriching the tradition of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and consolidating the relationship between the army and residents; demonstrating the spirit of the Viet Nam People's Public Security always serving for the sake of the Vietnamese people.

The militia forces are on mission to harvest rice in the field to help locals.
