Da Nang is giving out its first doses of the Vero Cell jab from October 5-10.

It is available at 100 points across the city.

All those aged 18 or over that haven't received a jab yet will get their first life-saving COVID-19 jab to protect themselves, their friends and their family.

The health agency will offer the vaccination to 100,000 eligible people across Da Nang during the city's ongoing vaccine rollout.

Apart from healthcare workers, hundreds of volunteers, police and military personnel along with militia have been deployed to sites to support the city’s vaccination drive in a bid to make sure that the vaccine rollout is implemented in effective and safe practices.

On the morning of October 5, beneficiaries went to designated sites to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Volunteers, police and military personnel have been deployed to vaccination sites to support the city’s vaccination drive.

Beneficiaries are required to undergo medical checks for eligibility, and they are provided with medical advice and post-vaccination observation.

Workers at companies located in industrial zones and staff of government departments and agencies are among the beneficiaries to receive the life-saving jab.

As of October 4, 725,448 first doses of a COVID-19 vaccine had been given in the Da Nang, as well as 91,247 second jabs, the latest data released by the Da Nang Department of Health by shows.

Following the vaccination, all recipients will be required to remain in an observation area for at least 30 minutes to make sure there are no adverse reactions in line with the Ministry of Health’s guidance.
