In the rainy and cold weather of early October, many organisations and volunteer groups in Da Nang have still been active in giving active support for groups of migrants who return to their hometowns from worst-hit southern localities on motorbikes passing through Da Nang.

Milk, bread, ‘banh chung’ (square glutinous rice cakes) and drinking water are gathered by volunteers at a supply station set up on the top of Hai Van Pass

In addition, there are rain coats and medical masks.

Free portions of piping hot rice soup and rice are being quickly transported to the supply station in order to promptly serve these returnees.

In the late afternoon of October 5, traffic police in Da Nang coordinated with relevant units to offer migrant workers returning from the south on foot a ride home by bus, then handing them over to Thua Thien Hue Province to continue supporting in the Lang Co Town. Previously, these people were also supported by the authorities of Quang Nam Province to travel by bus through the province.
