Make fishing by trawling nets near the seashore
"Keo rung" is a long-standing conventional method of catching seafood that uses nets to catch fish near the seashore in the early morning, originating from fishermen residing along Quang Xuong beach, Thanh Hoa province.
At the craking dawn, fishermen often get up early to prepare tools and equipment so as to head out to the sea for fresh seafood. As usual, two batches of small seafood living near the shore such as fish, shrimp, crab have been pulled by a large number of people each fishing session.
Although today's coastal seafood production is not as much as in the past, fishing by trawling nets is still an attractive activity to tourists when they visiting coastal cities in Viet Nam.
Let's discover the beauty of fishing by trawling nets near the seashore through stunning photos captured by our freelance photographer Nguyen Huu Thanh. (Pictures were taken before the current COVID-19 resurgence.)
