On Friday evening, crowds of Da Nang's residents poured out onto the streets in celebration of the New Year 2022.

Some of the city's downtown streets were bustling with vehicles from 7:00pm on December 31.

According to the observation of Da Nang Newspaper's reporters, this year, the city was a lack of cultural and entertainment events to welcome in New Year 2022 due to COVID-19. In addition, such public entertainment venues as Helio Centre entertainment complex and Asia Park do not have New Year decorations and are not open to welcome guests like previous years.

Local residents only took a walk down major downtown streets, and took souvenir photos along the both banks of the Han River.  Many of them visited an installation art space themed ‘The Door of Time" on the eastern sidewalk of Nhu Nguyet Street, Hai Chau District, or a photo exhibition entitled 'Da Nang's 25-year Journey - Achievements and Prospects' on the west bank of the Dragon Bridge on the last day of the year.

The photos on display at the ongoing exhibition are captured by professional and amateur photographers, showing off the city's remarkable achievements during its construction and development over the past 25 years.
