It is known that the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway project has been carried out on the build-transfer (BT) form with a total length of 77.6km, as part of the 3,183 km-long Ho Chi Minh Highway which runs through 28 Vietnamese localities.

This is an important route running through mountains and forests, beginning at the La Son T-junction, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien-Hue Province, and ending at the intersection with the Da Nang-Quang Ngai landmark expressway in Tuy Loan Village, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang.

There will be a total of 36 overpasses along the expressway.

Once fully completed, the expressway will help expand the transport links amongst key central regional economic hubs, boosting the city’s socio-economic development, and ensuring closer links with other localities in Central Viet Nam, and around the country as a whole.

The La Son - Hoa Lien section has basically been completed and was opened to traffic on April 16, while the 11.5km Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section will be invested with the use of public investment capital.
