Music and colourful party at 'Take me to the Sun' Street Carnival
The Sun Fest Street Carnival carrying its theme of ‘Take me to the Sun’ took place in Da Nang on Saturday from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.

The event was within the framework of the ‘Enjoy Danang Summer’ Festival 2022 which was co-organised by the municipal Department of Tourism, local relevant agencies, and the Sun Group.
The carnival parade of 10 vehicles decorated with replicas of Da Nang’s famous tourist attractions, along with nearly 160 dancers in eye-catching and colourful costumes, including 76 international dancers and artistes from such foreign countries as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, and Cuba, hit some local main streets.
The parade departed from the Tran Thi Ly Bridge to a park on the west end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, and arrived at the main stage on the extended Bach Dang Street.
At each stop, festival-goers were treated to interesting dances and exciting flash mob performances in magic lighting effects.
With the theme of Vietnamese tourism icons, each parade vehicle was a work of art with a unique, ornate and impressive design.
The vehicle decorated with the replica of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge with water spray effects led the parade. It was followed by those decorated with replicas of the city’s iconic tourist attractions such as the ocean world, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Sun Wheel, and more.
Also, visitors had the opportunity to admire the representative images of new and unique tourism products of Da Nang such as the Time Gate and the Sun God Waterfall at the Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area.
The Sunfest Street Carnival takes place from 7:30pm to 9:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays between June 25 and July 24, except for July 9.
Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh remarked that the ‘Enjoy Danang Summer’ Festival 2022 featuring a wide range of large-scale vibrant and exciting activities and events promised to turn Da Nang into a vibrant and joyful centre of tourists' summer journey.
