In recent days, the bustling trading ambience has been recorded on the Man Thai Beach in Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang, as many inshore fishing vessels have brought back bumper catches of scads.

As noted by our reporter, the quality of life for Man Thai fishermen has been improved day by day as fishing vessels have continuously berthed bumper-to-bumper. 

From early morning as the first glimmering rays of sunlight start to shining the ground, the fish market on the Man Thai Beach turns abuzz with throngs of seafood sellers and buyers. Fishing vessels of various sizes return ashore, each carrying a full load of fresh seafood.

A group of young men and women stand near the sea shore to unload freshly-caught seafood from fishing boats and quickly bring it ashore. Meanwhile, other people are busy sorting and weighing fish.

Sometimes, they stop to rest, chat and laugh for a while and then quickly get back to work when other fishing boats return ashore.

“This year is indeed a lucky fishing season for fishermen in Da Nang because they bring home bumper catches. When it comes to scad fishing season, many fishing vessels bring back a full load of scads after their night-time inshore fishing trips” said fisherman Nguyen Sy An residing in Son Tra District.
