Da Nang beach lifeguard stations get 'new coats'

No longer being monotonous concrete blocks, beach lifeguard stations along Vo Nguyen Giap route have become eye-catching with multiple colours, becoming an interesting check-in point, attracting many people and tourists.

For the first time to Da Nang and Viet Nam as a whole, Mr. Johnsson Peeters, a visitor from Belgium said that Da Nang has a safe tourist environment and is an attractive destination that makes him feel excited. He was very impressed with the colours shown on rescue stations. This makes the "houses" of the beach rescue forces much more vibrant and beautiful.

“Although I have been to many places where there are lifeguard stations, this image is very highly attractive and interesting to me. I believe the beach will be more beautiful with so many colours,” Mr. Peeters said.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh, a visitor from Da Lat city, said that the lifeguard stations in Da Nang are very impressive. Besides the check-in points in Da Nang at present, it is hoped that the stations will become a unique places impressing tourists.

According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, the upgrading and putting the ‘new colourful and artistic coats’ on lifeguard stations aims to create impressive beach landscape and improve the quality of accommodation for the rescue team.

It is known that the project ‘Upgrading and renovating lifeguard stations" started in November 2021, and 10 lifeguard stations running along coastal route Vo Nguyen Giap has so far been upgraded.

In the coming time, “new coats” will be given to 2 other stations in Man Thai Ward, Son Tra District and Hoa Hai Ward in Ngu Hanh Son District respectively and 6 stations at along coastal route Nguyen Tat Thanh.

“With the determination to change the appearance as well as upgrade the lifeguard stations in the city, we hope this will be a new highlight to attract tourists and residents. Hopefully, this change will contribute to making Da Nang beach more clean, beautiful and civilised, worthy of the title as one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet," said Mr. Phan Minh Hai, the Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches.
