The Nuoc Mooc Stream eco-tourism area, nestled deep down in the primitive forest in Bo Trach Ward and about 60 km away from Dong Hoi City’s centre, is a renowned tourist gem in Quang Binh Province.

In the local’s dialect, “mooc” means “to rise”, implying the water “rising” from the ground. The water from the deepest part of the mountain pours into the hundred-metre-square wide lake surrounded by limestone mountains. Most notably, the lake’s water is emerald blue year-round and its average temperatures range from 16 to 20°C during the summer.

Below are some stunning photos of the eco-tourism area, taken by our freelance photographer Duc Hoang.
