The Da Dia Reef is a famous tourist destination in Phu Yen Province and Central Viet Nam. It is located in An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, 35 km north from the Tuy Hoa City’s centre.
The Da Dia Reef was formed by the activities of volcano in nearly 200 million years ago. When the molten lava flowed into the sea, it was suddenly frozen and the contraction occurred, causing rock columns to crack vertically, horizontally, slantwise into octagon, hexagon, pentagon and other polygon shapes, half submerging in the sea.
The Da Dia Reef was enlisted as a National Heritage site in 1998.
Let’s explore the beauty of the tourist spot through some amazing photos, captured by our freelance photographer Doan Vuong Quoc.
