The Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour in collaboration with the Da Nang Confederation of Da Nang opened the ‘Trade Union Tet Market’ 2023 in the campus of the Lien Chieu District Administrative Center on Friday evening.

This is the first year that the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour has directed the organization of the ‘Trade Union Tet Market’ programme across the country.

The event is considered a practical activity for all levels of Party committees, authorities, mass organisations and the whole political system, to pay attention to caring for trade union members and employees during the upcoming Lunar New Year 2023.

Da Nang is one of the 22 provinces and cities chosen by the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour to organize such a meaningful Tet market in 2023.

Leaders of the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour gave 10,000 shopping vouchers, totalling VND750 million, to Trade Union members and workers at the 'Trade Union Tet Market' 2023.

On behalf of the city's leaders, municipal People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen (left, first) awarding 8,000 gifts, worth VND500,000 each, to workers in difficult circumstances.

The Tet market features 80 stalls selling essential items at stable prices, and offers many attractive discounts to serve the Tet shopping needs of Trade Union members and employees throughout the city.

The joy of market-goers

The Tet market lasts until the end of January 8. The 3-day event also features a wide range of cultural and artistic activities in order to improve spiritual life of employees.
