In these days leading up to Tet Festival 2023, Tet flowers in all of kinds and designs are being sold at bonsai gardens on specialised streets selling flowers and ornamental plants such as Le Dai Hanh and Le Thanh Nghi. Locals start to choose their favourite flowers for home decorations before Tet.

Mr. Hoang Thanh Hieu, the owner of the Hoang Lien bonsai garden, said that since early December, he has sourced many kinds of flowers from inside and outside the city to sell for Tet.

A customer buys flowers to decorate Tet. As noted by our reporter, this year's Tet flowers are more beautiful than previous year's. Also, there is a slight increase in their prices compared to the previous year.

Popular types of Tet flowers, such as evening primrose, raspberry chrysanthemum, gerbera, begonia and rhododendron, are on sale. Most of them are mainly sourced from the Southern and the Northern Viet Nam.

Raspberry chrysanthemums cost VND150,000/pot. Since December 20, the prices of flowers of all kinds will increase by VND10,000 - VND20,000.

Begonias are being offered at the price of VND90,000/pot.

According to business owners, on Tet, orchids are among the bestsellers. Each pot costs VND180,000 or more.

Evening primrose is one of the best-selling hanging flowers during Tet because of its reasonable price and the long lifespan if you know how to take care of it. Therefore, most of the gardens import this type of flowers in large quantities.

According to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuy Van, the owners of a bonsai garden on Le Thanh Nghi Street, Hai Chau District, ornamental pots are also popular with many customers during Tet in addition to flowers.

Ornamental pots cost from a few hundred to several million depending on the type of tree, the size, and the level of decoration.
