Whale-shaped aircraft lands at Da Nang airport for first time
The Airbus Beluga, a whale-shaped aircraft offered by the European company Airbus, made its appearance at Da Nang International Airport for the first time on May 9 and 11, grabbing social media attention due to its unique shape.

Airbus’s A300-600ST aircraft first landed at Da Nang International at 4:00am on May 9 on its way from the Kolkata Airport in India, and then was scheduled to leave the Vietnamese airport for Taiwan in the evening of the same day.
On May 11, the huge whale-shaped aircraft again appeared at the Da Nang airport and left in the afternoon of the same day.
The Airbus-operated plane has official name of the A300-600ST Super Transporter, but it is widely known as Beluga because of their resemblance to the eponymous whale.
Vo Tuan Kiet, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, who just arrived at Da Nang International Airport said this was the first time that he had seen such a huge whale-shaped aircraft at the airport.
The Beluga plane first landed in Da Nang on May 9 and then left another place after 14 hours of 'taking a rest'. On the morning of May 10, the plane once again landed at Da Nang International Airport and left again at around 4:00 pm on the same day. |
