The Tra Ly lotus flower field is nearly 35ha wide in the ​​Phu Loc regulating lake, surrounded by a protective forest system.

The Tra Ly - Dong Lon area is used to be a wet paddy field, and it was then renovated by locals to grow lotus flowers.

Since mid-May, lotus flowers have begun to bloom all over Tra Ly field and other areas in Duy Son Commune.

Lotus flowers in Tra Ly - Dong Lon area are grown on dry fields instead of flooded ponds and swamps in other places.

According to Vice Chairman of the Duy Son Commune People's Committee Luu Van Tuan, on average, farmers earn about VND70-100 million/ha, mainly from selling fresh lotus seeds, during each lotus crop.

The best time to admire the beauty of Tra Ly lotus flowers is between 6:00am and 9:00am, when the sun is not too harsh. The lotus flowers become the symbol of Tra Ly and Duy Son communes.

Lotus is the main ingredient for two OCOP products of Duy Son Commune: dried lotuses and cereal and soon-to-be-released lotus heart tea.
