On Wednesday, leaders of Da Nang government departments and agencies, and local people offered incense, laid wreaths and lit candles and lanterns at some martyrs’ cemeteries citywide in commemoration of heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in struggle for the country's independence and freedom on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).

The ‘Flower offerings for martyrs’ programme was simultaneously implemented by the municipal Youth Union at 8 martyrs’ cemeteries across the city, including the municipal-level Martyrs’ Cemetery, and martyrs’ cemeteries in wards of Hoa Tho Dong, Hoa Khanh Nam, Hoa Minh, Hoa Hai and Hoa Quy; and the communes of Hoa Phong and Hoa Phuoc. |
