About 95% of the workload on the project on preserving, restoring and promoting the value of the Hai Van Quan (Hai Van Gate) national relic has been completed after nearly two years of implementation. The completed important items have included the Hai Van Gate, a shelter, a warehouse, fortress positions, stone walls and entrance ways.

Meanwhile, the concrete blockhouses in the relic built from the anti-French and anti-American eras will be retained.

The functional departments of Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue are urgently making every effort to complete the project to welcome visitors back this year.

Covering an area of about 6,500m2, the project on preserving, restoring and promoting the value of the Hai Van Quan is being invested by the Hue Monument Conservation Centre, and the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports. The over VND42 billion project is expected to be carried out within two years. It is funded by Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue Province.
