The 1st Open Lion and Dragon Dance Festival 2023 took place at the Da Nang- based APEC Sculpture Garden last weekend.
Hosted by the Hai Chau District authorities, the event aimed to promote cultural and sports traditions, meet people's cultural enjoyment need, enhance understanding, exchange and solidarity between localities, and promote lion and dragon dance arts.
Also, it contributed to creating cultural highlights in the festival axis of Bach Dang Street, and a joyful atmosphere, serving the entertainment needs of children to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.

| The prize structure at the contest was divided according to each event. In particular, in the 'Mai Hoa Thung' style, the first prize was VND5 million, second prize VND4 million, and third prize VND3 million. Meanwhile, in the 'Dia Buu' style, VND3 million went to the first prize winner, VND2 million to second, VND1.5 million to third, and VND1 million to each of the two consolation prize winners. |
