Da Nang holds fire drill at Tien Sa Port
A fire drill was held at the Tien Sa Port in Da Nang on Saturday morning with over 100 people and 7 vehicles being mobilized.

The firefighting and rescue drill was co-organised by the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Division under the Da Nang Police Department, and the Da Nang Port JSC.
The hypothetical situation for the drill was that at about 8:00 am on Saturday, a fire broke out at the CFS 2 warehouse - cargo warehouse at the Tien Sa Port Enterprise - Da Nang Port due to a short circuit in the electrical wiring system. The sparks shoot out around and contacted with flammable substances such as paper, synthetic plastic and wood.
When a fire was detected, the company’s firefighting force immediately alerted all factory employees to cut off power at the fire area, and at the same time called fire prevention, fighting and rescue police via number 114.
Upon receiving the news, 50 firefighters, 6 fire engines, the fire-fighting robot TAF35 and an ambulance rushed to the scene to put out the fire and save the people stuck inside the warehouse.
At the facility, the firefighting and rescue force of Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port Enterprise divided more than 70 employees into teams to perform firefighting and rescue tasks.
The TAF35 remote-controlled firefighting robot has a length of about 3 meters, and a weight of 3,950 kg. Its water jet reaches up to 80 meters. |
