The firefighting and rescue drill was jointly organised by the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Division under the Da Nang Police Department and the Central Flight Management Company.

The hypothetical situation for the drill was that a fire broke out on the 4th floor of the Command Tower and a guest house for female employees. The fire was caused by a suspected explosion from the phone charging battery. It could spread through the entire building.

Immediately, the alarm bell rang, and the fire prevention and rescue work with the motto "four-on-the-spot” was activated. At the same time, the centre’s employees called the professional fire prevention and rescue police force 114 for support.

Upon receiving the news, 40 firefighters, 5 specialised fire engines of all types, a command vehicle and an ambulance rushed to the scene to put out the fire and save the people stuck inside the tower.

In addition, about 40-50 employees, plus firefighting truck Panther 6X6, at the centre were mobilised to put out the fire.
