The planning project for the about 3,770.3ha Innovation Subdivision at the scale of 1:2000 has been approved by Da Nang authorities. The subdivision will be a training hub linked to the University Urban Area, Innovation Centre and Software Park. At the same time, it will include a regional medical centre.

The Innovation Subdivision is located within the administrative boundaries of Hoa Quy and Hoa Hai wards (Ngu Hanh Son District); Hoa Xuan, Khue Trung, Hoa Tho Tay and Hoa Tho Dong wards (Cam Le District); and Hoa Chau, Hoa Phuoc and Hoa Nhon communes (Hoa Vang District) with a total area of about 3,770.3 ha. |
According to the general planning project, the Innovation Subdivision is divided into 2 zones called ST1 and ST2, and it is organised into 23 residential units, 3 residential groups and 6 functional zones.
The total population of the subdivision by 2030 will be approximately 233,000 people. Of which, the official population will be about 202,000 people, and the converted population will be around 31,000 people.
In terms of nature, the subdivision will be a training hub linked to the University Urban Area, Innovation Centre and Software Park, and at the same time, a regional medical center will be added. It will be connected by two main corridors: the Innovation Corridor (connecting high-tech training, research and production centres) and the Knowledge Corridor (connecting universities and innovation startup centres).
The planning project for the Innovation Subdivision prioritizes the construction and upgrade of main traffic routes, different-level traffic intersections, and a system of technical infrastructure hubs to enhance connectivity between areas, open spaces, public spaces, squares, etc.
Heed also will be on implementing key projects such as the Da Nang University Village Urban Area, the Riverside Urban Area Southwest of the Cau Do (Red Bridge) Water Plant, and a Creative Space in Hoa Xuan Ward.
Moreover, social infrastructure works, including the Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market, universities, the second campus of the Da Nang Hospital, and high-quality general/specialised hospitals, will be constructed in a bid to serve the community.
