Firefighters in Da Nang joined a fire drill on Monday afternoon at the Calix Hotel, Sanmarino Hotel and Sepon Blue Hotel, located at 157-173 Vo Van Kiet Street, Son Tra District. This is the first time that the three hotels in the district have participated in a joint fire-fighting and rescue practice instead of each holding it individually as before.

An overview of the fire drill |
The hypothetical situation was that a fire broke out on September 30 afternoon in the semi-basement parking area of the Sanmarino Hotel. A technical fault in a petrol motorbike was identified to cause the fire. The fire quickly was beyond the control of the hotel’s fire prevention, fighting and rescue forces and was likely to spread to the Sepon Blue Hotel and Calix Hotel.
After discovering the fire, fire prevention, fighting and rescue forces of the three hotels quickly approached the scene for rescue operations.
Upon receiving the report, firefighters and 6 fire and rescue engines from the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Division under the municipal Department of Public Security, and Son Tra District, were immediately dispatched to the scene to put out the fire and rescue stranded people.
