Hundreds of ornamental plants of various kinds are being looked after by nurseries to ensure they bloom in the coming year.

After being pruned, the trees are nourished with organic fertiliser, watered appropriately, and monitored according to weather conditions to ensure high-quality blossoms in time for Tet.

Podocarpus macrophyllus trees are meticulously tended by nursery owners.

The cost of plant care ranges from VND 300,000 to VND 5,000,000 per pot, depending on size. As Tet approaches, nurseries focus more on encouraging bud growth and ensuring flowers bloom at the right time for families to display during the festive season.

Thai Nhat, the owner of an ornamental plant care nursery in Cam Le District, Da Nang, shared that from after Tet until the end of the second lunar month, his nursery receives continuous requests from families wanting professional care for their ornamental plants.

Depending on the shape and structure of each yellow apricot tree, nurseries apply specialised pruning techniques to maintain the tree’s aesthetic and natural form.

Hundreds of large and small apricot trees are being cared for and restored to full health in preparation for blooming next year.

Even though the first lunar month has passed, dozens of customers still bring their apricot trees in for care each day.
