The Quang Da Bridge and its approach roads were officially opened to technical traffic on March 27 in celebration of the 95^th anniversary of the Da Nang Party Organisation (March 28, 1930 - 2025) and the 50^th anniversary of the city's liberation (March 29, 1975 -2025). On site in recent days, the investor and contractor have been working hard to accelerate progress, aiming to complete the project as scheduled in May 2025.

The Quang Da Bridge and approach roads are classified as a grade-II transport infrastructure project, invested by the Da Nang Management Board of Traffic and Agricultural Construction Projects, with a total investment of nearly VND 275 billion.

The total length of Quang Da Bridge and its approach roads is 1,408 metres, forming a transport route connecting both banks of the Yen River between Da Nang and Quang Nam Province.

The construction started in December 2023 and is expected to be completed in May 2025. According to the investor, as of March 2025, 84% of the contract value had been completed.

The bridge is 204 metres long and 22 metres wide, with 7-metre-wide carriageways on each side. The cross-section of the entire route accommodates four traffic lanes.

There is also a pedestrian pavement on the bridge.

The approach roads total 1,204 metres in length; starting at Km0+00, connecting to National Highway 14B at Km31+087, Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, and ending at Km1+408, linking with Quang Nam’s Northern Ring Road in Dien Tien Commune, Dien Ban Town.

The section of the approach road in Da Nang is 1,154 metres long, with a roadbed width of 34 metres and a carriageway width of 7 metres on each side. This section has now been asphalted to enable technical traffic from March 27.

The section of the approach road in Quang Nam Province is 50 metres long, with a 27-metre-wide roadbed and 7-metre-wide carriageways on each side. According to the investor, this section is still affected by site clearance delays and could not be completed by March 2025.

The contractor has completed 90% of the bridge piers; installed 20 reinforced concrete girders; and fully joined the bridge span.

The contractor is now expediting the completion of remaining components such as the railing system, waterproofing the deck, and expansion joints.

A large number of workers and machinery have been mobilised to complete the remaining works: embankment, roadbed foundation, tree planting, installation of lighting, water supply and drainage systems.

The investor is continuously coordinating with the contractor to inspect, review, and urge progress, while also working with the Land Clearance Board to accelerate compensation and clearance procedures to ensure timely project completion in May, 2025.

Once completed, the bridge will connect Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, with Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province, enhancing the regional transport network, boosting socio-economic development, and becoming a new symbol of unity between the two localities.
