The project “Renovation of the riverside pavement landscape along a section of Thang Long Street from Asia Park to the border of Cam Le District” was just completed and handed over on March 24, contributing to urban beautification and creating green spaces for residents and visitors.
The project was invested by the Da Nang Management Board of Traffic and Agricultural Construction Projects with a total investment of VND 44.2 billion. |
The project started in May 2024, aiming to enhance urban aesthetics and create green spaces for walking, recreation, and physical activity, improving residents' health and wellbeing. |
The project was carried out on Thang Long Street – one of the city’s most picturesque roads. |
This is the first project in Da Nang to feature Tabebuia (yellow trumpet trees) as landscape highlights and sources of shade along the Cam Le riverside. |
Additionally, the existing shade trees were preserved, while unsuitable species were removed; new species were added, such as Tabebuia and Purple cassia. |
The riverside pavement ranges from 15 to 21.6 metres wide, with a cycle path paved with exposed aggregate concrete. |
Walking paths are paved with natural stone, and the area includes stone benches, seating areas, and exercise equipment. |
Riverside railings are decorated with Da Nang symbols. |
The project includes two clusters of smart public toilets featuring high-grade stainless steel cabins meeting ASEAN standards, |
These public toilets have automatic doors with motion sensors, premium antimicrobial interior fittings, eco-friendly materials, and high durability. |
Parking bays have been arranged along the route: 2 bays between Dao Tri – Truong Chi Cuong, 2 between Truong Chi Cuong – Nguyen Xuan Nhi, 4 between Nguyen Thanh Y – Dang Nguyen Can, 5 at Vu Trong Phung intersection, and 1 at Rest Stop No. 4. |
The water supply and drainage systems, lighting systems, and landscape decorations have all been completed. |
Residents now enjoy an open, refreshing space for walking and recreation along the newly renovated Cam Le riverside pavement. |
