US Consul General Bitter spoke highly of the city’s remarkable socio-economic achievements over recent years. She expressed her delight that Da Nang has continuously taken the lead in Provincial Competitiveness Index rankings. This is thanks to the great efforts of the city’s leaders in creating a healthy and sustainable investment environment. As a result, Da Nang has won the trust of foreign investors worldwide, and they are willing to pour their money into the city.
Ms Bitter took the opportunity to thank the leaders and people of Da Nang for their joint efforts to help the US agencies who are seeking the remains of US soldiers who died during the past resistance war. She affirmed that the US organisations would continue to implement the project to remove dioxin contamination from Da Nang International Airport. She remarked that the project would help deal with one of the post-war consequences as well as enhance the bilateral friendship between the USA and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.
