The 5^th regional workshop for Party newspapers in the central region will take place from 7:30am tomorrow (26 March) at the Minh Toan Galaxy Hotel in Da Nang.  This year, the theme is “Publicising Viet Nam’s Sovereignty in the Bien Dong (East Sea) in Party Newspapers”

Organised by the Da Nang Newspaper, the event will be attended by representatives from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Training, relevant ministries and government agencies, the Standing Board of the Da Nang Party Committee, and local relevant departments.  Also in attendance will be editors, reporters and staff members from 19 Party newspapers in the central region and highlands, and from 28 other press agencies nationwide.

The event will create an opportunity for the Party newspapers, and press agencies in general, to together discuss ways to improve the efficiency of the publicity of Viet Nam’s sovereignty over its sea and islands in the current context of the sea-related disputes.  This will actively contribute to promoting the publicity of the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State about the national sovereignty over its sea and islands.  In addition, awareness of this issue amongst government officials, Party members and people from all walks of life will be raised effectively.
