A US Air Force C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft, with dozens of crew members on board, landed at Da Nang International Airport on Tuesday.

During their one-day stay in the city, the US guests shared their experiences in military aircraft operations and participated in bilateral cultural and sports exchanges with the Vietnamese air force in Da Nang.

The visit is part of the “Pacific Angel 2015” programme launched by the US Air Force which aims to help participants enhance their capacity for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.  This is the 5^th time that this programme has been implemented in Viet Nam.

Between 24 and 30 March, the programme took place in Quang Ngai Province for the first time.  It featured numerous charitable activities, including providing free medical examinations and treatment for local poor people, and the repair and upgrade of the province's medical stations and schools.
