On Thursday, the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Dang Viet Dung, visited the municipal Youth Union (YU) to mark the 85^th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26 March). 

Vice Chairman Dung praised the YU members for their active involvement in social activities over the past year.  Included were voluntary blood donations, environmental clean-ups, and volunteer youth movements.  He also took the opportunity to encourage them to make every effort to promote local economic growth as well as build a cultural and civilised urban lifestyle.  He said he hoped that the YU members, and all local young people, would do their utmost to promote the efficiency of youth movements in the city.

In reply, the YU’s Secretary, Mr Nguyen Ba Canh, promised that more exciting and useful activities will be organised for local YU members during this year.
