During his meeting on Tuesday with some representatives from the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, the Da Nang People’s Committee (PC) Vice Chairman, Mr Ho Ky Minh, reported on local tax collection and budget spending over the past year and the first 2 months of 2016, as well as the fights against smuggling, counterfeiting and commercial frauds in the city.

Also at the meeting, municipal PC Chairman Huynh Duc Tho asked the Central Government to disburse around 1,400 billion VND for city projects which have already been approved.

The local Party Committee Secretary, Mr Nguyen Xuan Anh, affirmed that the city has seen numerous positive achievements in its financial sector over recent years.  The city’s budget revenue from tax collection has increased significantly.

He emphasised, “Da Nang was listed amongst the country’s top 10 localities with the highest revenues last year.  The city has been making every effort to become the most dynamic economic hub in the central region”.
